Markéta Sousedíková

I graduated from Mastery school of art design in Prague. Later I successfully finished my half year studies in the institute of digital photography. I work in an area of portrait, technical and commercial photography. In spring 2014 I attended a fashion and commercial photography seminar and also Light & Postproduction seminar. I constantly work on self-improvement in the photography sphere.

When I saw a book of photos of Karl Blossfeldt as a young girl, I was fascinated by photography for the first time. His marvelous macro photos of plants seemed to have come from a different world. .

Later I got my first analog single-lens reflex camera from Canon. It was a miracle to me and I started taking pictures everywhere. I was mainly focused on my lovely horses and dogs. When I started horse racing, taking pictures of races became a common everyday thing. . My passion for nature brought me to taking pictures of free nature; especially I like taking pictures of water birds. I love watching them walk elegantly on water levels, observing their beautiful sleek bodies reflecting on the water surface and I especially love the moment when they silently raise to the clouds; this is an unforgettable experience! Taking pictures of nature is time-consuming, yet it is worth spending all days and many hours hidden in a bush and lying in mud at the riverside, as in the end there are exquisite pictures! I would like to share these pictures with you. Few years ago I became a photographer on a professional level and I opened my own photography atelier. Newborn babies, portraits, acts, product photo and of course wedding photos would be my favorite disciplines. Last but not least is sport photography. What I do is coming from my heart, which might be the reason why my work is so successful.

My work

My first experience of a commercial work was in 2000, when I made a calendar HORSES 2001; it took my one year to take the pictures of horses.
